Life is a game of inches. So is football.

Lots of people were upset with LSU this season for not living up to the hype. Consider this, Notre Dame was a missed chip shot field goal from losing to Pitt. We lost to Alabama on one missed assignment. Clemson swats down a pass or LSU wins. If Stanford doesn't recover it's own fumble in OT, Oregon goes undefeated. My point being that LSU was a contender and didn't go to the title based on a few plays here and there. The bounces just didn't go our way this season. The sky isn't falling, we are still elite, we are still LSU.

you are correct. it still burns that we couldn't seal the deal in the bama and the clemson game. a first down in either game would have secured the victory. our offense didn't get the job done and it put our defense in too many "life or death" possessions. oour defense was worn out in the florida game. the heat and humidity of ben griffin stadium is incredible and our offense just couldn't move the ball. it is clear to me that our team played their hearts out and that is a credit to the coaches and players. our offense stunk and that ruined our chances of being a championship team. that had better change next year as it is the defense that is going to need some help.

Well done. We can always count on you to take someone's optimism or encouragment and turn it negative. You never disappoint.

You're correct but whether we are going to be an elite team in 2013 remains to be seen. 2013 looks to be painful due to our losses. 2014 will be better than 2013 but still on par with a 2009-esque team. We'll catch some breaks and some will go the other way. Either way, I'll be rooting hard for the Tigers!

Until we have a few recruits flip to other schools on signing day and the sky is falling all over again.

Prevent defense doesn't lose games bro. Teams use it and win all the time. They use it and lose all the time too; just like every other style of defense
