OK...so I am headed down to NO Saturday with a couple thats only really been in Louisiana a little while. Instead of fighting the downtown traffic, was going to hit up Jaque imos then take the streetcar down to the Warehouse dist for a concert at 6:30. Jaque imos isnt open for lunch...anything along the way you would consider a close second? I really like their menu and just the vibe of the place.

Boucherie but I am not sure if you would be able to get in.

Everything.

Get ready for some answers because a lot of people on here think Jacque-imo's is garbage. They consider it a lot like Mother's.

In that area, Boucherie is the first place that pops into my mind. Along the way you could get off the street car at Louisiana and go down to Atchafalaya. In between Magazine and Tchoup.

Think you may have trouble getting in there Sat. night(some football game this weekend.)

Boucherie is only a few blocks from there, nice small building, very good food. They don't take reservations, but that early you may be ok.

Is the Street car line still under construction? I want to say it will only take you to Louisiana still.

Katies does look legit...we can hit them up for a late lunch then hop in the car, go park down by Cooter Browns and take the St. Charles streetcar to Lee Circle

This avoids a little bit of the craziness

Katie's is Midcity. Original poster mentioned Warehouse District.

I think the St. Charles line is fully functional now.

Personally, I think you can find plenty of places as good or better than Jacque-imo's, but finding a place open before 6:30 is going to be your real problem. If you can figure lunch out that may be your best bet.

anywhere nice and/or well known is going to be a HUGE struggle, and these corporate folks will not hesitate to cab/limo it uptown on the company dime.

if youve heard of it, its going to be a struggle to get in i suspect.
