Where to get topo maps?

DOTD by state capital has them. They sold them thru La geological survey when I worked there years ago, they are under DNR now. One of those should get you there. Rand i beleive has a book with all of LAs topos.

You didnt actually go to your link did you?

It doesnt show the lake.

I guess it is an old map made before they built the lake.

ETA: It is in the satelite view. Not the map view. And if it is shown in the Topo view, it is horrible.

Go here Topo KML and download the topo layer for Google Earth. Go to wherever you want on Google Earth, then turn on the topo layer. Then just print from there.

I'm assuming you want this for fishing purposes. In this case, the Google overlay will work fine.

i find that topo maps of reservoirs, before the lake was built, are prety useful. Shows all the features like points, creek beds and hills that are now on the bottom, which are structure where fish congregate. Up to you to figure out where the lake is, of course.

Btw, you have to navigate around that site to find the right map. They have lots of historical stuff too.
