This was a significantly more difficult list to come up with, as OLB in a 3-4 takes a lot of projecting. You have to look at undersized DEs, OLBs, ILBs, etc.

I was just not sure on guys like Bjorn Werner (who won't be there anyway), Alec Ogletree, Ziggy Ansah, etc.

If you feel the need to add guys early or in the middle rounds, please let me know.

Jarvis Jones

Damontre Moore

Barkevious Mingo

Dion Jordan

Alex Okafor

Corey Lemonier

Chase Thomas

Sean Porter

Have a feeling we're going to end up with this guy.. and he's going to bust. I do not want him.

Sean Porter is intriguing. He was playing well in a&m's 3-4 two years ago. The switch to a 4-3 made this year a bit dimmer for him. I know we might be looking to draft one in the first round. But, we could never have too much depth and he seems like a prime candidate for the later rounds.

Also, i feel like you should add Brandon Jenkins to the list, kid from Florida State who missed most of the year.

If we can't land Moore, Jones or Mingo, I'd be thrilled with Porter.

Jesus, making me do all this work.

6'5" 275, write up alludes to speed as well. Sounds like end of the draft/UDFA territory, which we play oh so well.

Sam Montgomery should be on the list.

You think Sam can play OLB in a 3-4? I see him as pure 4-3 guy for sure.

Yeah, I'm kinda crossing Montgomery off the list at this point. I think he's a 43 guy as well.

Although its going to be hard to pass him up if there's based on talent alone.

Yea kinda like Lamar woodley/tamba Hali/Justin Houston etc.

We'll see how his combine is put I think he is a guy that can play on the strong side.

Ogletree played inside linebacker in college but kind of looks like a guy who could play outside in the pros if need be.

He's taller than the average LB: 6'3'' 236

Ansah is quick off of the ball but he had a hard time at the Senior Bowl this week. It looked like he was relying on his speed alone and didn't have an answer when it came to fighting with his hands. Once tackles had him locked up, he was done. I think his stock could have fallen some this week. He's got a lot of talent but you can tell he hasn't been playing football as long as the other guys who are here this week.

I like Chase Thomas a lot.

I wish Trent Murphy had come out from stanford this year, because I think he's the best of all their great linebackers, but Chase Thomas is a complete player. A really complete, solid player.

Why do you think Dion Jordan will be a bust?

I don't agree with all their rankings but I love the layout at drafttek. Their team needs rankings aren't bad. I have corresponded with their Saints guy and he seems pretty sound.

perhaps the best thing there is the positional rankings. Most draft sites just have LBs, DTs, & DEs that you have decipher into 3-4 or 4-3 types. They separate then into-
DE34 DE43 DT34 DT43 OLB34 OLB43 and WILB & SILB
they are ranked by position and relative to their big board too

HERE are 29 3-4OLB prospects
