I mean within around the $500 price range.

How good do these things work?

How far can you see with them?

Cadello, I looked into these (no pun) a while back and seem to remember that, in order to get legit night vision worth a shite, 15 hundred up.

I have no idea. My experience ended when I saw the price tag.

Cadello like to night fish, in the winter, so I'm not sure if thermal would be the answer but like I said, I'm not familiar with what each brings.

Stupid question probably but with thermal, can you see? I mean like if you're looking out over a lake on a cold winter night?

You can see well up close pretty well, but you really need to pay big bucks for range.

How much light is required to see through them?
How far away can you see a person/animal?

Man I should go meet you and us stake out the joint.

As I'm sure you know, one way you can tell is by how your traps are placed. Surely it's too early for them to be after frogs.
