Tim Brown thinks so:

no he just sucked and was very predictable. the bucs knew all the plays the raiders were doing. one of the most poorly coached super bowl teams in history

Bill Callahan couldn't win that SB even if he tried.

He was outcoached by Tony Dungy's old team and couldn't keep up with Brad Johnson nor the Bucs D

“We all called it sabotage . . . because Callahan and [Tampa Bay coach Jon] Gruden were good friends,” Brown said. “And Callahan had a big problem with the Raiders, you know, hated the Raiders. You know, only came because Gruden made him come. Literally walked off the field on us a couple of times during the season when he first got there, the first couple years. So really he had become someone who was part of the staff but we just didn’t pay him any attention. Gruden leaves, he becomes the head coach. . . . It’s hard to say that the guy sabotaged the Super Bowl. You know, can you really say that? That can be my opinion, but I can’t say for a fact that that’s what his plan was, to sabotage the Super Bowl. He hated the Raiders so much that he would sabotage the Super Bowl so his friend can win the Super Bowl. That’s hard to say, because you can’t prove it.

Tim Browns being an idiot here. I know that Brown and many many players on that team hated callahan with a passion (and rightfully so) but to say he sabotaged the SB is a bit much IMO.

I doubt the one he changed from would have been any better.

Callahan probably changed the gameplan because Gruden knew the Oakland offense even better than anyone.

Of course not. I'm a lifelong Raiderfan, the Bucs were the better team heading into the game, despite the great lil Raider run back then. Getting hosed on Brady 'Tuck' fumble, and not facing finesse Rams were their best chance at SB hardware, of that roster's run in year's prior.

Chuckie Gruden had just been the Raider HC the four years prior, knew the roster, the playbook, strengths and weaknesses..an unfair advantage for a one year turnaround SB matchup. Barrett Robbins AWOL/mental meltdown was a bad omen.

Callahan was the same meh HC that flamed out at Nebraska.
