I always have to wear the Thieve's Guild armor because I pick up too much crap. If I have a choice though I have this Glass armor of extreme destruction that is pretty cool.

My follower is J'Zargo and I usually equip him with the Blades armor from head to toe. He also uses a lot of wards so I almost never have to worry about him getting killed.

Linwe's armor. It makes my dude look like Storm Shadow from the old GI Joe.

Crafted stuff. Basically I make +LA and +Bow/one-handed damage almost exclusively. I carry around utility gear, i.e sneak, persuasion, regeneration gear as the situation demands it. Boots and shield are always frost or fire mitigation as high as I can get it. I craft a my weapons with frost/fire and soul trap and switch them off as needed. Really the only time that is necessary is when I fight dragons. I don't use any of the stock guild gear for the most part. The only truly indispensable items I have found are Azura's Star, Mask of Clavicus Vile, and the Jester's chest piece.

If you are playing on PC, check out Frostfall mod. You can get upgradable cloaks, backbacks, and camping gear. It is a good immersion mod. I use this with Basic Human Needs mod and then you can turn off fast travel and global map. Makes the game a lot more immersive and more like a regular RPG.

my 2 complaints about skyrim were:

1.armor/weapons should of looked better, especially the orc armor, they are masters at smithing, their weapons are crap.

2.creatures to fight, so few in the game, and since eating is not a part of the game(necessity), rabbits, salmon, etc are useless.

You should not be able to walk from Solitude to Windhelm, and only face 2 bears.

The game, my first rpg, is fricking great, and i have a ton of hours in it, and spent a good 20ish this weekend on it. I just feel those 2 items could of been better!

PS i love the enchantment, you can get from new DLC. 50% chance YOUR weapon does 42 points of extra damage from fire, 42 from ice, and 42 from electricity. It's beastly when adding to a one handed weapon.

I do like the stalhrim short sword and axe.

Also, the best follower, is teldryn sero, found in solstheim, in the bottom floor of the bar(raven rock). guy does destruction damage, and loves to get in middle of fight and kick arse. He will steal kills, as he gets in there so quick, at times.

Question:

Was watching a video of guys playing dragonborn DLC on xbox. But he was able to use a mouse, and had PC capabilities on his skyrim. They were playing on xbox, but curious how they were able to also get the mouse to work and have the auto options that PC users have, on xbox?
