Also how much does he committing have to do with Priest and Tahaanan?? Does this mean the coaches know they aren't coming here.

Yes and possibly leslie if the coaches dont feel like he will make his grades

Eta: we will likely have an academic casualty so we still have room for willis and goodman

Some other normal attrition too I would think.

He replaces Baker for all intents and purposes. The plan was always for 4 wrs and we have the room.

Willis will always have a spot. We're not pressing Artie Burns for this reason or Jamal Carter.

Goodman isn't coming so he doesn't factor in at all. The only people that think he's possible are the fans. The staff has no illusions of grandure with Goodman.

Spears is just a guy that Henry and Frank Wilson like a lot and felt was worthy of an offer.

This kid has great hands. Always catches the ball away from his body. This one could be a gem.

I thought it was a given, that Q. Leslie's grades were not good enough.

Yeah, but taking Spears means we probably won't grab just any 4th - Priest Willis is a "make room" player, but I'm beginning to think we'll go with 3 WRs if Willis goes elsewhere.

I don't think Willis has anything to do with the number of WRs. We already have 4.

Is Leslie going to qualify?

ETA - nevermind:

Keeping Beckwith as an ATH

Diarse (listed ATH) - WR

Avery Peterson - WR

Rickey Jefferson - WR

Kevin Spears - WR

Got it. Leslie not going to qualify, Spears makes four (4).

(Math is hard.)

Also, 2 legacies, along with OBJ next year, 3 legacies in the WR corps - does say a lot about the strength of the LSU family (and Hilliard is sort of a legacy).

I'm not counting Jefferson. It will be Leslie or someone in his place.

Got it - you're still counting Leslie and that's fair, for now.

Grandeur. Don't try to sound smart then misspell the word. That's kind of counter-intuitive isn't it?

Would it be fair to say at this point that the players who have a chance at becoming Tigers are Willis and Burns, if Willis goes to UCLA, while the guys who may not be a part of this class are Leslie(grades), Cutrer (grades), and Robinson (Miami)?

Did you get the point of the sentence with the word in it? Did the misspelling cause you to not know what I was talking about? Did the misspelling change the info I posted?

Good and frick off wise arse

Just for future reference, it's 'delusions of grandeur'.

Jefferson is a db prospect. Not many have seen him play db, but I'm telling you right now he is an aggressive db that fits our style very well. Spears is a talented wr.....as far as purely catching the football he would be ahead of most wr recruits we have had this past decade. As an overall receiver he's not far off from Brandon ladell out of high school. Seeing him live I'd say he's on par with buster Davis out of high school.
