I had 550 when I bought my gun December 2011, I'm down to somewhere around 300 right now.

But I'm sure this ammo fever will die down soon enough.
Considering many of the major manufactures have contracts logged backed up into 2015, I'd say we have about 2 more years of not being able to walk into a store and freely purchase whatever caliber we want.

The really bigtime gun nuts suck. They're necessary, but they suck. Kinda.

I'm in the minority here. I stocked up incredibly well during the black friday sales. All I'm doing now is buying and reselling on gunbroker for some incredible profits.

ETA: Only buying online so I'm not pissing off any of you fellas who are trying in the stors

OP is blowing the "on the back shelf" idea out of proportion. All of the rimfire ammo at Jim's is on a back shelf behind the far left display case. Been that way for years. I highly doubt they moved all of it around to hide or hoard it

Didn't try to blow anything out of proportion, I didn't say anything more than you just did. All I said was they had it in stock.

I stand corrected. Thought you mentioned it being on a back shelf for a reason like it wasn't in the usual place. People have been freaking out over ammo. I'd look to Jim's for ammo though because he's usually got a ton in stock, even if it is overpriced.
