I am not LE but I would imagine if someone pulled over gave the LE his cc permit with his license the LE officer would feel more comfortable. No criminal is going to do that.

If you get that rig make sure you get an ambidextrous holster or an off hand holster. Correct mounting requires the opposite hand holster of what you normally use.

Where can i get one of those?

Saw the link and its been mentioned, but be sure to get the ambi holster or the one for the opposite hand. I got the holster from them, its simple, pretty cheap I guess, and I never have to take it off, I just leave it attached 24/7.

You can have a gun in the vehicle however you want it. But if you get out with it on your person, better let it be known.

I don't want to forget about a gun in the console while worrying about a traffic ticket and have them see that I have a CCL and start asking questions.

Good point. In fact, the first time I got pulled over shortly after getting my CCL, I forgot to mention to the policeman that I had a CCL. OTOH, the gun was not concealed on my body, but was in the cab. That's why I'd like to know for certain whether or not it's a requirement to tell LEO your have a CCL event though the firearm is in the vehicle, but not concealed on your person.

Sucks about the car. Take care of those air bags.

Are you right-handed or left-handed?

For this rig, buy a cheapie holster of your opposite hand for mounting in this under-wheel setup.

In other words, if you are right-handed, buy a left-handed holster.
It will be correct when you mount it in this rig.

Sorry about your wreck. IIRC, y'all had some medical issues in your family as well. Take care.
