If the Hornets can get to within 5 games of the 8th spot (we are currently 9.5 back) by trade deadline, will we be Buyers or Seller.

And if who are we going after?

If anything we will be sellers.

If there is any chance that this team somehow makes a historic run and sneaks into the playoffs, there is no chance that this team will go far.

We have a young core that is still in the beginning stages of chemistry and career. We also have a lot of cap space in the future, we better not frick that up by taking on a big contract now, thinking we have a shot at anything important.

My thoughts. If we climb from last place to 8th, we are doing something right.

Keepers or Sellers. They are not going to sacrifice future cap space or picks this season. They are using the OKC model, sit back and pounce when the time is right, and this year is not that time

Looks like we have a chance to be only 4-6 games back @ the trade Deadline.

Would you trade our 1st rds in a weak draft for a play knw or stand pat

We really need a #2 score on this team hopefully a low post guy ( Pau Gasol)

I wouldn't sacrifice anything for the 2013-14 season for something like a first round exit in the playoffs. This team is not going to win a championship if we sneak into the plyoffs. We're maybe one star and a bench player away from being something remotely great, given that our players stay healthy (gordon) and improve (everyone else). This draft isn't deep, but what if we bring in a decent SF in free agency, I know there aren't many superstars or great ones this year, but a decent one and then somehow we get a high draft pick we could pick up a true bench presence. Just my take.

They have to give up Anderson plus about 3 other players to make the salaries work.

And that's just to maybe sneak in as an 8 seed and lose to OKC/LAC in the first round

No way.

We're 7.5 games behind the 7th and 8th place teams. We're going to stand pat this year (maybe a small move or two) and wait until next offseason when we have the cap space to sign quite a bit of talent or make trades without sending any salary back.

How should we keep our eye on until the TD?
May be Wilson Chandler or Jordan Hamilton
