Need to have one direct deposit per month, 15 debit card transactions, and enroll in online banking/statement delivery.

I doubt I had 15 debit card transactions in the past year

First nbc in nola has a checking account that is a $50 deposit to open and is completely free as long as you dont overdraw it. All fnbc atm/debit cards charge you 0 at ANY atm machine, and whatever the machine charges you is refunded to your account the next business day.

These refunds are unlimited and i personally have gotten up to a $20 fee at a strip club in vegas refunded.

First NBC Bank....

UCB does do it. When we were in Vegas in Nov I almost felt bad using the atm's. $6.50 a pop getting refunded instantly.

Easy solution. Bank with a small local bank and link the accounts together to transfer money back and forth.

i agree with this. banking with a small local bank is a good idea anyway... when you need a loan having personal connection with the banker might have a value...

that is if you plan on getting a loan other than 3% fha loan...

Another thing in favor of Schwab - you know those nice, friendly people you always see in commercials who know what they're talking about, are eager to help and speak English fluently? They may not work at your bank, but they do work at Schwab.

Bancorpsouth does it for me. At the end of the month I get a deposit, usually like $12-16 dollars, for ATM fees refund
