Like LaRue or similar. Upon reinstall, how close to zero are they?

The LaRue ones are supposed to be dead on. I have one on my long range AR but have never swapped it.

I have one on my main AR that swap to my AR-22 and it seems to be pretty close to zeroed in. Close enough for plinking purposes anyway. It has an aimpoint in it.

I have also used them on ARs with Aimpoints. I am unsure how they are at longer distances but I have no complaints so far. I will be using another LaRue on my medium range AR shortly.

I dont like how much it raises the optic. I dont need that high of rings for a 24mm scope.

you probably right...I use mine a lot with the scope (35mm obj) on 2x for fast target acquisition (nutria move fast when they know they're about to die) and I hardly notice the height

nutria don't seem to notice either!
