Banned Magazine Question - Building your own

During the last ban, was it possible to build your own mags? Buy the parts from seperate places and put them together? If so was it worth the time and $$

I've been into guns for awhile and during the last ban I honestly don't think there was a time when you couldn't get mags- yes they were expensive, but they were out there. Manufacturers will have time to make millions while the politicians debate this.

Your best bet is to know a LE officer and get him to buy them for you. they will have a LE Only stamp, but (like you care)
