Went to grab some sushi to go at Hello Sushi and saw the place was papered up and signs and lights were off. Another burrito place goes down over there? I actually thought it was a pretty decent place.

I liked Qdoba . Whenever I sent there for takeout the place barely had anyone. I guess it's because of Izzos & Chipotle.

Really surprised to see it closed because people seem to love that crap. I hate it.. but still surprised to see it gone.

Yeah, nothing is "wrong" with their food or anything. Just not my type. I like my tex-mex to be sloppy and made by Mexicans or no Mexican at all

I've mentioned this before, but Qdoba's tortillas have a very strange texture that creeps me out.

They're not as powdery (for lack of a better term) as most tortillas. This is going to sound insane, but they look/feel like skin to me. Kinda wet and rubbery.

Yes, yes, yes. I always tell people something is "off" about their tortillas. They're like, cold and smooth. Very strange.

Thank you for noticing too! I feel like a crazy person when I try to describe it, but that alone turned me off from Qdoba. I only stop for Queso (I live right by there).

EDIT: I just googled and apparently they wet and steam their tortillas, so that might be why. Maybe they wet them too much? I don't know. They look like I could stretch them really far and that creeps me out.

I like that texture of the burrito for some reason.

I generally go for the chicken nachos at Qdoba. Never tried the burritos, but this is enough to make me never try them

Owner from Lafayette. Owned the Popeyes there and sold. Started these for his sons. Said he did well except Summer and Christmas. All he made the rest of the year was spent to keep it open during this time. Dealing with RW Day was a pain so he just shuttered it. Said Towne Center does well.
