Not really a surprise.

Pioli picked two shitty coaches in Healy and Crenell as well as managing to piss off everyone in the organization due to his attempts to change the organizational culture to one like the Patriots had.

Pioli was terrible.

Chiefs needed this. They have talent, they just need to fill a few lineup holes like the monster hole at QB and get coached up and they'll be good.

Pretty much, Reid had final say on personnel decisions.

Not a bad tandem when you look at the guys they drafted while they were both with the Eagles.
