I got 25k miles and 10k mqm's when I signed up 2 years ago... then I got 10k mqm's for "upgrading" my card and hit the threshold for another 15k mqm's

Damn that's a lot. I am at 54 Southwest segments, 18 Delta, and 6 American. But I flew every week from February to October.

I fly around once a month (round trip) but there were a few months with 2 round trips... but I always have to connect though

This. I'm on my third Delta Amex card. It's best not to cancel while you have to fly Delta, though, since the card covers the baggage fee.
