Bapple, I'm on my iPhone, so my picture clarity is limited when zooming in. From what I can see, that 1911 in your profile pic is amazing. It's the one gun I am looking to buy next for my shooting pleasure. Can you give me the brand/model/specs? This would be my first 1911. I'm looking for a good one.

It's a S&W E series tactical. I agree that there is no shooting pleasure like 1911 pleasure.

I'll probably be planning an OB Sherburne day after finals week is up. Keep your ears and eyes open and you can get to shoot it before you buy one.

The detail on that thing is ridiculous!

I have also looked at a Kimber stainless raptor II. Any thoughts?

Also a great choice. Any quality 1911 will be good. It's all about the buyer's preferences for look and feel.

Did the wood grips come stock with your's? IMO, that's what sets it apart from the others I see on their website.

I buy almost all of my AR accessories from MidwayUSA or Cheapter than Dirt. Also, Botach Tactical has really good prices.

Hope you enjoy your new toy! I know your bank account won't!
