Yeah, I said this in both threads. The state has more universities per capita than almost any other state in the country, despite having one of the poorest high school systems in the country. There are obviously redundancies when it comes to LA higher education.

i love lsu football, but what does it "need" that money for this year? bigger raise to miles? full time babysitters to troubled football players? even more stadium upgrades?
fan base continues to support the program and accept increased fees, costs.

No it's not. The University "pays" the Athletic Department's most profitable employees: the student athletes.
