That's the only thing that's kept me from starting. I don't need another expensive hobby

Waders

I bought a pair when I first started for like $260 and I've used them 5 times in about 5 years

Get you a good pair of hip boots and a good pair of knee boots.

I use Max4 camo on just about everything I own for duck hunting. (blind bag, jacket, waders, gun, hat, gloves, etc)

Your gear depends on where you will be hunting. Hunting in a blind...don't buy waders.

Benelli is a good gun. I have a nova pump that I use as a backup and a SBE2 for my go-to.

I usually only hunt the marsh. When I'm not in the marsh, I'm in a sunk blind with full cover so it really doesn't matter The max4 camo looks exactly like the grass type on our levee's.

I was thinking of starting as well. It's good to see I am not alone. I got my German Short haired Pointer earlier in the year and hoping to teach him to retrieve. My problem is the people I hang out with do not hunt so I have no idea where to start.

I'm in the same boat..never really hunted, just fished all my life and my buddies only deer hunt. Trying to get some guys to do a little entry level hunting in the marsh or here on the ms gulf coast..

ive got a kayak and lots of camo..still need:

gun
waders

I'll def need waders. Will mainly be hunting flooded hardwood/cypress areas. Lots of times ride 4 weeler and wade out. Rarely use a boat other than bateau

You need a friend with a boat and a dog. Oh wait... Ok, now just find us somewhere to hunt.
