Watched my DVD, and it frustrates me every single time I watch it.

I remember seeing it in the theater on opening night, and I just can't believe that almost 20 years later you still can't see the full version.

I know it's tragic that a couple of kids died trying to imitate what they saw, but seriously, there are hundreds of movies with scenes that would result in death if people were stupid enough to try to imitate, not to mention the video games kids play nowadays.

I just can't understand how the backlash was so permanent on this particular scene to completely erase it from cinematic history.

Thanks. Good for the guy that saved that.

It's not just that I want to see the clip though. I remember it well. It's that I hate that the film as a complete work is compromised. The impact of that scene is weakened, and the flow is completely off as it jumps ahead.

I just think it sucks. Films are made, and I think it's stupid to go back and change them (frick you George Lucas).

I also thought it was disgusting that certain studios went back and took out images of the Twin Towers after 9/11.

Why would anyone want to eliminate the memory of those buildings???

Anyone who actually places any fault on the film for those kids deaths is a moron. And Touchstone's decision to remove the scene is asinine, I blame them more than anyone for caving in.
