Glad to hear she's home. You going to reinforce that backyard?

It was my parents yard but yeah we'll look at and try to see what happened. My parent's dog has tested it time and time again, it's odd that mine got out and not Houdini. That's what led me to think someone got her

Yes I know, hammerhead. Check out my screen name - might recognize it.

And it's great that you got your dog back!

Doing great. Kids are grown. Lots of work. Say hi to your folks for me. Oh, and congrats on the engagement!

Glad the pooch came back.

Mine ran away for a day a few years ago. The folks that found her were having a party for their kids in their back yard. They called and told us the kids were having fun playing with her, and asked if she could stay a little longer. I just said sure call me when the party is over

Had two black labs, male, female. They would run off occasionally and either I would find them down the road or they would come back home. The day my best friend was buried, my male lab never came back.

Ouch. If this one runs off again she got lucky, she's gonna be on lock down when we aren't working or outside with her. This weekend was too tough.

Great news GetMoney!! I read your post to my wife a few days back and she cried for a half hour while clutching our 2 dogs in her arms... Just texted her and told her your dog showed back up and she is ecstatic

Glad you got her back, and take this as a lesson learned: Get her chipped.

You might have missed this in the deer dogging thread, but up here dogs are stolen regularly and then turned loose in the woods right before deer season opens to fend for themselves and keep the deer "stirred up" for the outlaw "hunters".

Houdini couldn't escape but your dog could?

They need to rename Houdini.

Y'all want to hear something creepy?

I always put her collar where you can read her information a certain way. Last night when I went to get her from my parents I noticed that it was on upside down. My parents didn't touch it...

Also, my mom kept on an on about how soft she was, "like she had a bath." She also mentioned that when she opened the front door that night my lab was soaking wet. This is a few hours before the cold front came through. I honestly think someone had her and saw all the posts on FB about it (Oakdale isn't a very big place and it's a semi tight knitt community). I'm convinced they brought her back to keep from getting caught...

I could be wrong, just strange that she's never ran off like that and was able to get out of that fence alone. My parents dog isn't something anyone would steal, she's an older and kinda large pit/boxer mix.
