Well, being a good Samaritan and all, had to try.

I'd like to think if I was ever banned, someone would do the same for me. But I probably vastly overestimate my importance to people here.

If I'm Kromer and Carmichael, I might consider suing the NFL for damaging their coaching reputations. Both were considered top notch NFL head coaching candidates. Now their stock is pretty much back to lucky to get a look as a coordinator somewhere.

These two guys didn't ask to be thrust into the roles they had to assume but now their careers have been damaged.

It's hard to win in the NFL when your down two coaches for the period Payton and Vitt were out.
More responsibility fell on entire coaching staff which it made it difficult to compete as a NFL team when the other teams have more coaches in the building.

Id rather get the realization that I'm not ready when people wont hold it against me than to take a job and find out the hard way.

Kromer had to much on his plate, it was obvious with the way the Oline play suffered. I think he'll get the benefit of the doubt.

If anybody should be upset, its Carmichael. The offense was largely intact. I think you are seeing how much of an effect Coach Payton's insight has on game planning and in game adjustments.
