Bamazon Premieres Tonight 9pm

So, we get yet another gold mining show. Difference being that these boys are from the south and mining the Amazon. Reports are that they do pretty well and get close to a 1000 ozs of the yellow stuff before the season is out.

Haha. Yeah. Some of the gold mining forums I lurk on say that they actually did pretty well. That's about the only reason I'm going to watch. So far, Goldfathers is the only gold mining show where the guys were successful.

This season of Gold Rush they start finding gold and then the next episode its gone. I only watch most of these gold shows when they show all day marathons and I'm bored.

Seriously, living down that way it got hot, but the heat wasn't that bad. What was bad was having nowhere to go to get out of the damn heat. It took about 2 months to acclimate.

OK, lesson #1 for the owner. When you're going deep into the jungle with heavy equipment hire an expert at logistics in going from 1st world to 3rd world areas. Not quite as intense as Jungle Gold...yet.

You can hire the best logistics guy in the world, but going into the third world is at best a crap shoot. Generally, the people down there are great, but they operate on a different wavelength than most Americans. They think nothing of walking away from millions of dollars worth of equipment and going and getting drunk for two weeks.

Obvious, need a fronter 1-2 months ahead though just to make up for the mess. Maybe he had one and it still fell apart.
