Well deserved, I wasnt sure he would win when I saw they had a fan vote that actually counted. I was surprised he actually kept it close in the fan vote. He was definitely the best Kicker in the nation this year.

Good for him. He was here in West Palm with the other finalists visiting sick children at Jack Nicklaus's children's hospital yesterday.

Cool, I'm happy for Allen as well.
There's no way I would have cheered for Brad Wing to win it though, that dude is a complete tool.

Hope not, he had a bad Sr. year after winning the Lou Groza. Decided to pick up punting duties that year too and it didnt work out that well.
He did spend a season or 2 in the NFL.

you have to kick in pressure situations in games that matter to be a "best kicker"

what game has Tulane played in the last decade that's mattered?

also kicking in a dome is easier too

True, but how many misses by Sturgis/Hopkins were due to them being outside? Also how many high pressure kicks in games that matter did they make and miss?
