I think your 4-8 season proves that you're wrong.

You weren't stupid for firing him. You were stupid for hiring him.

That's debatable when looking at the facts surrounding his hire. He didn't leave UL under any sort of unfavorable light, and he won a lot of games there.

As far as how he left the Falcons, who gives a shite, coaches are fired midseason all the time; that was just Blank being butt hurt, no sympathy from sane people for that one.

The only good hire that Auburn has made in the last decade was Cam Newton

Petrino's stock goes down by the minute when he's linking his name to all of these jobs that won't assume the risks and PR hits.

UT may end up with him just as we said they would. Deal is with their weak and listless leadership Petrino would run amok, they might get back to winning 7-8 games but he'd burn that place to the ground in tremendous fashion when it hits the fan.

Seems that if they were going to hire Petrino, they would have already.

I mean the man is literally standing in the street with hat in hand.

I don't think so. I think he proved you can actually win here which helped in our coaching search.

I think he also did us a favor by showing the PTB that a flashy offense isn't enough if you don't also have a great defense.
