Just an opinion, but playing in ATL should help our team recruiting talent in GA and SC. Atlanta is a hot bed for talent and we get a few good ones here and there each year.

If we win big and show how superior we are to Clemson, the ACC and to the critics, maybe we solidify a few blue chips away from Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, etc for the next few years.

Impressive wins, solid fan bases, etc help bring in the talent in more ways than we know.

Just a thought and see you all in Atlanta!

Not as much as if we were in the Cotton Bowl .... LSU is recruiting texas hard in 2014 and it would have paid off better if we had our game in Texas.

Just trying to think bright sided! LSU can recruit anywhere in the South.

They've also done well in parts of South Florida.

Your optimism is much appreciated and a rarity around this website. We recruiting board posters try to keep that positive energy around here without the remnants of shite negatards from the rant spewing their filth over here as much as possible.

Also good for recruiting in the Carolina's. Which the coaches have been doing well for the past several years.

Our success with the Longhorns lack thereof makes a huge impact for next year already. We also start next year off in JerryWorld so not a huge loss there missing out on the Cotton Bowl.

Hope we dominate Clemson. They have a huge fan base here in Atlanta. Welcome to the Atl.

Great point on start of 2013 season. Brown, Paris, and Simmons will be there for LSU vs TCU.
Carl Lawson is the one recruit that LSU has a want and need for the 2013 recruiting class.

The loser is the cotton bowl and Dallas. We travel so well that Atlanta is the big winner financially and we will be in Dallas in The fall.

I think the location of the bowl game is pretty irrelevant. Florida and Louisville will not have any positive/negative recruiting impact in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. High school kids are not paying much attention to who is playing in their back yard once every blue moon.

Now, I do believe playing Clemson will help in recruiting because we tend to go after similar defensive players and a head-to-head victory would always help in the recruiting pitch.
