I don't think we will be low enough to get him.

I hate to say it. Chad suggested Mingo in another thread and I was ready to try to blast him for it, but the more research I did, the more I liked the pick. I think he could be the next Dwight Freeny DE in the NFL. Rework Smith's contract, bring Mingo in on passing downs like they use to do with John Abraham and then let Mingo take over full time in a few years. Not a bad plan.

1. T - I would love to land Luke Joeckel from Texas A&M or Taylor Lewan from Michigan.

2. DT - While Hicks is coming along, Tom Johnson shows upside, I feel we'll cut ties with Ellis in the off-season, and we really need someone who can push the pocket.

3. C or S - Here is where I would love Barrett Jones from Alabama or TJ McDonald of USC.

Draft picks
I think Morgan is proving to the deep threat we thought he could. Really excited about his progress the last few weeks.
And yes there are already multiple threads, but whether its through FA or the draft the top 3 to me are:
OT
S/CB
Pass rusher

ETA: although I would love to see Tavon Austin in this offense

Would definitely like to see that

I was on the jarvis Jones bandwagon but the more I think about it the more his back issues bug me. Also he didn't do all that well against Bama, which is some of the only legit competition they played all year.

He had two sacks against them. It's not his fault the entire defense allowed them to run about 39 straight run plays to end the game, which basically takes him out of the game.

What three positions do the saints have to fill in the upcoming draft?
defensive line; linebackers; offensive line.

I actually think the Saints DB's are good and play with a lot of confidence. If the Saints could tighten up its front seven they would be a top ten unit.

You can never have enough offensive lineman.

I only saw one sack but maybe I'm mistaken. Anyway, he definitely didn't help the rushing problem. They were running right at him on a lot of those plays.

1-DE
2-OLB (at least one of these top 2 needs to be a pass-rushing beast)
3-OT need depth

He will be a huge name and huge risk. His play has deteriorated to not even being the best O lineman in Miami. Most thought Miami wouldn't be after him strong at all and let him test the waters (franchising him too spendy). He's likely IR for the last month of the season (2nd yr in a row) with a torn triceps.

If they wanted to mega spend I would like Branden Albert or Ryan Clady more if they are allowed to hit the market.
