Could NFL challenge rule be used to uphold a bad call?

My son asked me an interesting question tonight. If Gary Kubiak knew that Justin Forsett was down on his touchdown run, could Kubiak have thrown a challenge flag, thereby making the play non-reviewable? Can a coach who is going to benefit from a bad call on a TD or turnover throw the challenge flag to prevent the booth review from overturning the call? I guess you would still get the 15 yard penalty, but who wouldn't take that trade?

No, this has been brought up a few times now.

You can't benefit from it.

According to how the rule was presented last week. Yes.

Despite it being a scoring play it could not be reviewed. Within 2 minutes I am not sure how it is handled.

I'd be interested to see someone try it, to me it would be hard to rule that out.
Although you'd have to explain to the red what you're challenging I would think. I don't know

Throw it quick, challenge too many men on the field.

This was brought up last week. You can only be punished for it.
