Nov 1994.....They announced that he would be playing two shows and tickets would go on sale next day. I was able to get through and was told I only got one ticket. No assigned seat, so I was 2nd in line. When I got there they had two tickets for me....told them I was told only one, so they said they would credit me back. When I got the bill they credited me for both so got to see it free! They had tables setup on the floor that you had to sit at. Very intimate setting and probably best show I've seen.

That's incredible man.

One time my dad went to a bar in the Quarter and there was this jam band playing.. when the band was done with their set, the frontman for the band announced they were going to take a break and let a friend of theirs come on and jam for a little while... that friend was Jimmy Page (just so happened to be out in New Orleans that night). My dad said there were maybe 100 people in the bar and Jimmy Page was playing a jam sesh for them.. seems like shite like that doesn't happen anymore.

I sat on the phone trying to get tickets to that. I remember the sale was in the evening, cause my wife and I went to my office to call on multiple lines (before everyone had cellphones--had to be mid-90's)

Got shut out!

Got mine also!! I bought 3 tickets. I'm giving my dad and brother the other tickets for Xmas. I figured it'd be an awesome present to get. Plus it's on a Saturday. Even sweeter.

Shows at the House of Blues are awesome. Its just a small venue, they band is right on top of you. I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd there in the summer.
