Today I had a chance to speak to a group of elementary kids w/ John during their little football banquet. He told them about not only having dreams/goals but putting in the hard work to accomplish those things and how it's the first thing he thinks about every morning when he wakes up. For those that don't know him he is a very positive young man with a very level head and love for the game of football. I've known he and his father for some time now and it was nice to hear him speak such words of encouragement to kids from one of the tougher areas in Monroe. I have a pic of John and I as well as the two of us with his HS coach and our Parish Sheriff that I will post if someone can tell me how to get it from my IPhone to the thread. Just thought some of you might like this.

He's been tearing up the playoff scene. I love this kid because he finds ways to win, whether that be with his arm, his legs or on defense. It's only lagniappe that he comes with a great work ethic and attitude as well. We got ourselves a good one for the future.

Will he play receiver at LSU?

Man we start with a skill league for 4 yo's. we don't keep score, we just teach them the basics so they have an idea of what's going on when they start playing actual games at age 5. One of our 4yo coaches is actually Coach Fitzhugh who coaches the HS team at Ouachita Christian.

I actually talked to him about this on more than one occasion and he said they haven't leaned one way or the other far enough to give him a good idea on what will happen. He said he will do whichever gets him on the field and in a position to make an impact the quickest.

Thanks for sharing the info and the pictures.
John Diarse seems to be a great kid. I know he's a really good football player. He also appears to be someone that LSU supporters can be proud of for more than just helping the team win games. I also think he is going to be a great addition to the program.
