Bushnell Game Cam Help Please

Fellas. I'm Stumped. I have the Bushnell Infared 5MP Digital Trail Camera. It's the little black one, model # 119430CW. I have a brand new Sony 16GB SD card that I put in the camera right out of the box. So it should be formatted correctly. I followed all of the setup instructions. However when I insert the card it says "FULL" after the "WAIT." From what I understand this means the card is full. But it is most certainly empty. I put it in anyway and walked in front of it and even left it on a deer trail over night. When I put it in my computer, there are no pictures on it. It is not locked and the camera is not in set up. I'm at my wits end and would love to provide pictures for the OB. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm at the point now where I'm just going to go buy another brand card (Sandisk?).
TIA
TIA

This is what I would do. Did the 16gb card come with the camera? Is that what you mean when you say you put in the camera right out of the box? 16gb seems really big and alot of trail cams cant use cards that big.
ETA: if the card didnt come with the camera then I would read over the box and see what the biggest card it could use. Go get a 2gb card. That should work fine and hold PLENTY of pics.

No I bought the card separately. It did not come with one. The camera should be good to 32GB according to the box and owners manual.

Not sure then. I would try another card just to see. I would bet that there is something wrong with that card.

What brand card are you using that is not working?

A Sony. I didn't realize till after I bought it that the manual reccomended a Sandisk.

That may be the problem. I know certain ones like Fuji usually will only work with Fuji products but not sure about the sony. I use Sandisk with all my cameras.

I'm heading to Walmarks to get one now. Hoping this works so I can have it set up tonight. Deer been feeding at midnight here.

I picked up a Sandisk 8GB for 5 bucks and it worked! Gonna set it up tonight. Hopefully I have some racks to share later!
