This is my least favorite game every year for a reason

The existential problem with both Ole Miss and Arkansas is that they care a whole lot more than we do about these games. On body language alone this is kinda obvious.

They look at us a program that used to be like them but is now elite. Combination of jealousy and bitterness. I love it.

I remain convinced that Ole Miss fired Cutcliffe as a knee jerk, purely emotional response to LSU's return to prominence. They had our number for a stretch there in the 90's. It sucked.

Tuberville, in his early Auburn days, used to pop off about how much success he had against LSU at OM.

So emotionally, I think you're right about Ole Miss. Arkansas kinda left all their traditional rivals in the SWC and just needed somebody to hate. I can never muster much emotion about them as a program.

Ehh, Petrino went 2-2 against us, should have been 1-3 barring that bizarre late game meltdown in 2008.

Arkansas very rarely beat us, but when they do it's usually some miraculous bullshite that pumps up their fans and makes the highlight reels.

...and that remains the ugliest trophy in global sport. Yuck.
