My capital one venture card isn't cutting it anymore. They won't give me an credit increase because they only do so periodically they said.

You have to donate 5 or 15 dollars to some organization.

Yeah click none of the above or something and you can donate 15 or 20 bucks to a military organization

You also have to make a 5 dollar deposit to become a member

This is pretty standard across the industry, most companies will only give u an increase every 6 months.

I use the Amex Blue Cash Preferred card. 6% on groceries and 3% on gas plus $150 sign up bonus. There is a $75 annual fee but it easily pays for itself. If you are interested, post your email and I can send you a referral which would get you an additional $75.

You think I could receive over 5,000 dollars in credit with that one?

The thing is with the capital one. I have had it for around 8 months and have racked up 98,000 miles. Double miles
Not understanding why I haven't gotten an increase yet

Just pay it off more often.

You haven't had it very long and your score probably sucks.

I have. I just put over 7,000 in the last 3 and a half weeks.

they suck.

But CL are increased (with normal credit card companies based on history and good spending habits).

You're best bet is Amex.... You may just have to wait 6 months after you get your card

DISNEY CHASE rewards card

10k limit on mine. Could probably go even higher if I requested it.

Sent you the referral, should get it within a day or two. It will depend on your credit history/income whether or not you get over 5k. I can tell you that they have been very generous with me considering I am young and my credit history only goes back a couple of years.

Most cards only give periodic increases, and initial limits would be based on credit history/score.

My Chase Freedom card has a $11k limit. Started at $400, and I've never asked for an increase.

There is the answer why they won't increase your line yet. Patience grasshopper.

No offense to anyone. Why would anyone need a 20k credit card limit? I'm just curious? Is there a credit card out there that offers prime+1? I don't know, I don't use credit cards.

If one needs 20k why not use your local bank? I would think the interest rates would be much less. I don't understand how any credit card company could return 6% on groceries as most grocery companies operate on a 2-5% net margin.

Just curious.....

You do understand you don't pay interest on credit cards you pay off each month and you get "rewards" for using a credit card right???

Some people are just closed minded and misinformed

I'll probably rack up 1000-1500 in rewards this year while that guy sticks with his cash and writing checks at the grocery store
