Anybody else hate the zombie craze going on with movies and tv now?

Dear god this stuff is getting old. Ive never seen something get so played out in the past few years.
My buddy said there is a guy he works with that truly believes there is going to be a zombie attach/epidemic/ect one day. Like forreal forreal. Is that why it has a huge appeal, a lot of people truly believe some of this stuff is actually going to happen?
I mean I have a lot of guns and and ammo, but it sure aint for that.
