Can't wait!!

Seen Clapton three times:

Early 90's at HOB New Orleans, maybe 400-500 people...top three show I've ever seen

And then once by himself, and then last time with Steve Winwood.

The man puts on a hell of a show!

On my birthday, 0% chance I'll miss this show.

Maybe I'm confused, but why are y'all so excited? All of those names are only playing a single event at Madison Square, all of the other tour dates are just him and his band along with the wallflowers

Don't doubt it will be a good tour, but nothing to bust a nut over.

I must go to this!

eta: Ok, I see now that it is just clapton and the wallflowers on the tour, but it would still be great to see him before he dies.

Holy shite, he's not exactly elderly. In his sixties yeah, but not infirm.

I've seen Clapton play probably seven or eight times. He's a great player. The best concert I've seen him play was the one he did with Mark Knopfler on second guitar with him. Nothing but "hits" from beginning to end.

The show at HOB in the nineties was pretty damned good, too, as more of a blues show.

Agreed, I would like to see him before he retires.

But I just wanted to point out that the news isn't as big as the first few posters made it out to be. Yeah, the 2 day concert in NY is going to be awesome, but the rest of the tour is just a regular tour.

I can think of about 5 bands that are on their way out that I would want to see before clapton.

Messed my pants. I know the Crossroad festival only comes around like every 4 years, but no line ups touch that for me. Nothing better than blues music.

Got me 3 tickets. I got in right at 10 am and didn't like the seats I was given. Tried to search again and the search time went straight to 12 minutes. When I finally got through again, I was given some good seats.

I kept looking for tickets after I got mine and they still had a bunch. Tickets sold fast down on the floor.

I am giving a ticket to my father for Christmas so he should be surprised.

Just saw that Paul Carrack is going to be in the touring band.

Hope there's no "Tears in Heaven"/"Living Years" medley.
