Kinda true, but then again that is just one guy at each of a handful of schools. I can't really think of a school that has truly had a pattern of kids staying.

Big Ben made the same promise to Bettis his final year. There's no guarantee that things can't go wrong, but it's that confidence that might get some player's attention, even if it doesn't cause them to change their mind.

Eric Reid would be coming back guaranteed but he is about to graduate... still he might actually stay.

99 is history.

If we could just keep three of those guys we would be unstoppable next year. I NEVER predict undefeated seasons, I NEVER predict National Championships. They are just to hard. But if we can retain at least 3 or our defensive JR's I will say we don't lose a game next season.

No way that Sam and Mingo come back, if your a top 15 draft pick and aren't a QB you gotta take the money.

It all depends in the expected "draft" ranking and whether it can be improved by staying in school or not.

After a certain "ranking" and the money that comes with it...if any player that needs money stays in school, they are crazy... one injury and it is all over.

Those who do not need money like Andrew Luck and (I am assuming) Matt Barkley are the exception.

Again, not saying he can not do it. His position may be classified as OLB but his had remains in the mud and he is to light to do that in the NFL right now. Like I said IMO he need to stay and develope more into his position an body. His draft stock will only go up and he could possibly go to a better team and get more money. Our D-Line will be extremely young next year and lack experienced depth. He should stay.

Money talks though.
