Was doing good this week. Our cat died this morning, I think it's time for comfort eating. Little thing was like family.

I've been trying to put healthy carbs back into my diet and monitoring my cals, carbs, etc. heavily to make sure I'm eating appropriately. Had a bad night Wednesday night, got drunk and in a drunken stupor got tacos from jack in the box Other than Wednesday, my cals and all have been fine.. but I haven't been losing. I want to go into a hardcore induction to get myself kickstarted and disciplined again, but I know Thanksgiving is right around the corner... Bad time of the year to try to do induction with Turkey Day and then Christmas soon after, but I can't keep making excuses.. Thoughts?

H, I took a trip down memory lane. Last year at this time I wasn't weighing daily or monitoring my intake/outgo. I was in full fat season mode up 6 at 152-3 heading to +10 by January. I'm trying to do the opposite this year but I know there will be temporary upswings.

You were just hitting the 75 down mark at 288. You obviously were doing something right because you dropped another 30. Try looking at your holiday plan from a year ago. Excuse me but recognizing that this is a tough time of year to lose weight or limit gains is not making excuses.

BTW Myth was a 166, but he doesn't post numbers since he's gone chronic bike.
CAD doesn't post anything since went chronic GF.

I know tl;dr

I feel the same way, but on the same token, I shouldn't have huge blowouts and use the excuse of "it was a holiday!".. a holiday that comes annually. Holidays that I hopefully will have many more years to enjoy once I get to my maintain weight. I lost so much of my weight by simply just controlling my eating and refusing to cheat unless it was pretty much unavoidable. Now I'm working out, but I have been spending too many nights on the wrong side of a few too many beers and just not controlling myself. I know I gave a spiel a while back about not denying myself of fun, but I didn't think that would turn into a once a week or more ordeal. I think it's why I'm not losing, and even gaining. I think I will go grocery shopping tonight and begin induction again tomorrow. I think I need to kind of reset and pretend that this is a whole new beginning of dieting, kind of like when I started at 363.

It's been a good week and the weekend shouldn't be to bad either. Planned 7 mile run for Saturday morning and the last tailgate on campus for the year. With this progress I think it's time to reward myself with new running shoes. My old ones are nearing the end of their useful life.

Absolutely no reason I should be gaining any weight if you just go by calorie count, and consider the fact that I hit the gym 4 times this week.

Day 1 of induction begins today. Today's meals:
Breakfast: 3 eggs omelette, 2 strips of bacon
Snack 1: 4 Celery sticks (2 stalks) with ranch
Lunch: Baked pork chop, 1 cup iceberg lettuce salad mixture with balsamic vinaigrette
Snack 2: cheddar cheese stick
Dinner: Grilled chicken breast with steamed broccoli and 1 cup iceberg salad with roasted red pepper italian dressing.

Let's do this.

I'm not going to sit idly by while I put on weight.. My lowest is 257... 7 pounds up from my lowest while eating healthy carbs, staying at or below 1800 cals/day, exercising at least 3 times a week.. no, something is just plain wrong with that imo. I did cheat once a week or so, but with the deficit I was generating I should not be gaining weight.

I think you meant, I haven't posted since I went chronic mouth.

I've been moving back in the right direction the last month, but the bike is slowing me a bit as I put a little muscle back on the legs after a almost a year off from riding.

Or something like that

I need to get as far away from 240 as I possibly can. I swear it's like my body wants me to weigh 240 or something
