Tweeted it during the game last night. We need a better class of Hornets writers

to be fair, he said he would trade Biyombo for ANYONE on the team not named Anthony Davis, including Anderson.

For reference, Biyombo is averaging an amazing 3 points, 5 boards, 2 blocks on the season.

ALL STAR POTENTIAL

Yes, I'd trade Anderson for Biyombo. I like Ryno a lot, but I like Biyombo a lot more.

I posted this last night, kinda got lost.

But I lost some respect for gerrity. I understand Biyombo has some promise, but at this point he is not much more than a raw, big body. What does he like about Biyombo? He has a decent game every 15 games out? Omg what a future!

It's not like Anderson is old. He's 24 or so. There aren't many big men like him who can stretch the floor like he can. He's a pretty strong asset to a young team. Moreso than a guy that might be good in 4 years

I didn't realize until this thread that he actually posted that last night. i figured you were quoting old tweets

you really just shouldn't tweet shite like that during a game. wait until after the game...you know, so you don't end up looking like more and more of a fool as the game goes on and Anderson drops 25 with 7 boards.

Agree to all of this.

He is trying to sound smart, but comes off as incredibly dumb. Small sample size, but Davis and Anderson could become one of the best frontcourts in the league very soon

Any credibility that Gerrity may have it, has now gone directly down the shitter...

Wow. I thought for sure y'all were overreacting to sarcasm. FWIW Gerrity's always been off when it comes to analysis, I remember him regularly saying some things I didn't agree with during the CP3 era too. His main job appears to be to do interviews so him being bad at analysis isn't that big of a deal.

Yep.

We got the interview expert, the advanced stats expert, an attendance expert, a "did you know expert"... Man, these guys cover all the bases!

I appreciate the work that Joe and all the guys at 247 do. Unlike the TP, they care about the team. They bust their asses and are trying to create a pro basketball community in New Orleans from the ground up. No easy task at all.

Here's my problem: Gerrity has positioned his website and himself as the authority on Hornets basketball. Whether he is the interview expert or not, posting nonsense only hurts the Hornets community. How many people follow him for "insights" such as this?

I don't get the big deal. The trade will never happen and he's not putting down Anderson. He's just saying Biyombo has a ton of potential. I don't agree with him, but it's not an outlandish claim.

Gerrity is a hack and has been since 2009 when he defended Bower & Shinn with the other idiots there.

Gerrity is nothing more than a shock jock. He posts the contrarian points just to rile people up.
