If Ware can't get more than 3yds rushing, what makes you think Shep could do better?... ..Don't quit your day job, a coach you're not!..

Well, statistically, Shep is doing better pal.

Our RBs are either not using good vision at all or there are no holes. In either case, you have to get creative with the run game.

Agree 100%. Shep should get 8-10 carries a game. I know he doesn't break many tackles but he is a threat to take it to the house everytime he is on the field.

I'll take a homerun over a bunt single anytime.

And all of that is with us NEVER using him as a decoy. Maybe if we fake it to him every once in a while it'll make it more effective when he does get the ball.

It seems so simple right? I've been wondering the same thing for years.

You would think after watching how Ontario McCalebb was able to torch LSU in 2010, a light bulb would have gone off.

He's run 8 times this year for 106 yds. took one to the house.

If you take out his 78 yarder, which inflates that ypc, he has 7 carries for 28 yards.

Still decent, but just pointing that out.

If you look at his YPC over his career you will be surprised. But why use what works?

maybe not that often, but he DOES seem to go down without much to show for it, more often than the big backs. if your objective is to move the chains he's not the correct playmaker. if your objective is to hit a home run now and then, he's your guy.

I wouldnt have a problem with him getting the ball maybe 5 or 6 times a game if the coaches could draw up plays that would actually work.

The problem is every time he's in at TB, he gets the ball and everyone knows it. Anytime we play good teams, he almost always goes down at or behind the line when he gets the ball. The coaches are horrible at drawing up plays for him and using him in different ways so the D cannot key on him. He might break a long one once every 3 games, but he's gonna go down for a loss about 8 times before he breaks one for a first down and that kills multiple drives vs good teams.

He doesn't need the ball ever on special teams. ford, beckham, or landry should get his touches on special teams. Hell ford needs the ball more at TB more than RS does.

Hell let him throw it!!! Who knows what could happen; can't get any worse! I'm all about more Shepard. Anyway we can get him in the game!
