So he impressed you playing his position but he's playing the wrong position?

Central was the better team tonight. End of story.

If the Zachary Defense would have shown up at the beginning of the game like they did the rest of the game, maybe it could have been different.

On the illegal forward pass: QB pitched the ball forward to the man in motion (1st Forward Pass) then the ball was flipped back to the QB after a reverse and then thrown down field (2nd Forward Pass).

You can't have two forward passes.

He handed it off to him, did not pitch it on the first pitch. Check the film.

Cage is a linebacker normally he doesn't go out in coverage. He played nickel db tonight the way zachary was lining up.I was just saying I was impressed with how he was able to stay with triplet stride for stride. He is 6'4" guys that big normally don't have the hips or accelration to keep up with guys like triplet.

Actually this year with Zachary switching to a 3-4, Larry Cage has not played one play at ILB. He plays OLB so versus spread teams he has been playing in coverage.

He was very impressive tonight. He showed tremendous ability to cover one of the area's most elusive players.

No he pitched the ball underhand like they do all the time on the JET SWEEP play.

I don't have the ability to post video of a High School football game, but they run the SWEEP just like WV does with an UNDERHAND PITCH

It's perfectly understandable for you to think they handed it off, the pitch happens very quickly. But, as evidenced by the penalty called...it was a forward pitch.

How would a hand-off look like a forward pitch, anyway?

Got you I guess that's what I was getting at forgot about 3-4. I have always wondered with his athleticism why zachary has him playing there. He seems like he would be a better fit at safety he has that type of frame.

Jrock we need some stats
.

ZHS actually out gained CHS 464 yards to 440 yards. ZHS led in first downs 19 - 18. The game was closer than the score. As an earlier poster stated, the 87 yard scoop and score totally changed the game. Props to Central for coming up with the big play.

Now this is way off the subject,But what I really liked about this game was,I could take my two 6year-old grandsons to see a reaaly good football game and sit among the fans from either of these teams (I don't have a dog is this fight)and not have "F-Bombs" dropped every few seconds. Sure fans are gonna get upset because of what they see as bad calls, But nobody goes totally Ape.You just can't do that at many stadiums in the Baton Rouge area. Thanks to both teams for a good game

That's how all games should be. After all it is just a game. Glad y'all enjoyed yourselves.

As far as this district, I have to say its Central's to lose.
