Dating back to 1990, Only 3 of the 21 "host teams" have made the playoffs. No team has won more than 10 games. The average record of those teams is 7-9. History doesn't indicate that this season will be one to remember. The 0-2 start doesn't help things either.
2011: Indanapolis Colts 2-14
2010: Dallas Cowboys 6-10
2009: Miami Dolphins 7-9
2008: Tampa Bay Bucs 9-7 (no playoffs)
2007: Arizona Cardinals 8-8 (no playoffs)
2006: Miami Dolphins 6-10
2005: Detroit Lions 6-10
2004: Jacksonville Jags 9-7 (no playoffs)
2003: Houston Texans 5-11
2002: San Diego Chargers 8-8 (No playoffs)
2001: New Orleans Saints 7-9
2000: Tampa Bay Bucs 10-6 (Lost in Wild Card)
1999: Atlanta Falcons 5-11
1998: Miami Dolphins 10-6 (lost in divisional)
1997: San Diego Chargers 4-12
1996: New Orleans Saints 3-13
1995: Arizona Cardinals 4-12
1994: Miami Dolphins 10-6 (lost in divisional)
1993: Atlanta Falcons 6-10
1992: Los Angeles Rams 6-10
1991: Minnesota Vikings 8-8 (no playoffs)
1990: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-10
Here's to bucking the trend and going 11-3 the rest of the way

If any team would be responsible for breaking some weird streak it would be the Saints, and I'm sure it would be in some near heart attack style fashion. We must have drama.
