Do we get the 230 CBS slot or will they take the SCar/Mizzou game? I hope the latter for work reasons.

Why are you asking this it's an away game this year? If I had to guess it would probably a night espn game.

Because I won't be there and will have to watch on TV. But I'll miss some if it's 230.

I think LSU - Auburn has more national appeal and TV ratings power than Mizzou - USCe. LSU will be higher ranked and the Auburn series has a history of good (and controversial) games.

Based on that, I think CBS picks LSU - Auburn with first choice and kick-off will be 2:30.

Hasn't Game Day been in Auburn for the last two LSU games there? I know they were there four years ago when J. Lee threw the game winner to Lafel.

I can agree with that. However, this is the first opportunity to showcase Mizzou. And SCar is a top ten team. Lsu will have their fair share of opps on CBS.

I'm not so sure that CBS will take LSU-Auburn. They will want to get aTm and Mizzou on early in the season to get their viewers plugged in.

Both teams have theit SEC opener on Sept 8 -- aTm vs. FL and Mizzou vs. Georgia. aTm doesn't have another conference game until the 29th. Thus I think CBS takes aTm on the 8th and Mizzou on the 22nd.

Nothing else on the 22nd is compelling, so if CBS doesn't take Mizzou they will take LSU.

Difficult game to predict. Coventional wisdom says LSU/AU at 2:30, but SC/Mizzou may have more appeal at that point in the season. There's a possibility AU could be 1-2 going into the LSU game. Assuming SC and Mizzou are both undefeated, I could see it being the CBS game. Also, as others have said, CBS may want to take the opportunity to get into the Missouri/Midwest market early in the year. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say LSU/AU will be a night game

They'll tee it up precisely at PAIN:30.
