I think I remember Jordan Jefferson starting as a freshman and 4 years later he still wasn't mature enough

Mett will do fine. With our rb"s u had better not put 9 in the box like bama did in the NC game or Mett will burn that arse!

There is no doubt that, at the big-time level, Mettenberger's resume is thin. But some scouts have pointed out that he will be playing in the college game's best conference in 2012, that the SEC competition will hasten his development, and that the returning LSU surrounding cast is spectacular, with as many as six possible other first-round choices. The windfall includes five standout players on defense, but also star offensive tackle Chris Faulk.

this is an objective view of lsu. lsu is a damn strong football team for years to come.
let les keep reloading.

may i repeat...SPECTACULAR.

I am a huge Mett guy and think he is going to be phenomenal. But, let's please try to not do the "he would have been just as good last season" based upon an awesome 'this' season.

This needed to be said and good luck with that.

Mett only needs to occasionally complete a pass further than 5 yards down field for our offense to be ridiculously scary next year. If he has even an average year, this Tiger team could be a very special one.

This.

All Mett has to do is drill one 15 yard shot down the middle to a receiver sometime in the first two sets of downs. The linebackers will quit charging the line. Mett has only to hand off to the running backs after that. In fact, all he really has to do is be mediocre at QB. That would be enough. Mediocrity at QB would have won the title last year.

(but why didn't they use a picture of him in his LSU uniform instead of Georgia's?).
Thought the same thing

They wanted to show the SEC team he was battling to start for 2 yrs ago to back up the fact he was a wild card in the top QBs in the nation thought process?

Maybe not but throwing an inexpierenced QB into a high pressure situation like that is tough to do. Last time we didit, he crushed under the pressure and was never the same (Lee) If we had lost a game or two early on, I think we would have seen Mett, but the thing is we went 13-0. You dont change QBs if youre winning

I agree. You NEVER change qb's if you're winning.

And tell me again, what did Miles do last year?
