Those rankings always seem so weird since their formulas backcount so many years' form et al.

They're not even good fodder for fan arguments when you have Mexican League teams ranked over Juventus. Well, come to think of it, that actually counters my point. . . Good stuff.



Curious that you don't see more "power poll" type ranking articles in this age of message boards to generate arguments.

I'm trying to think of a formula that puts Chelsea ahead of Man United and come up empty, unless the CL is a shitload of points but even then Man U made the final last year as well. Also trying to think how Man City could be ahead of Man U, only thing I come up with is that money spent is factored in the formula.

I'm trying to think of a formula where Barcelona would be the best team in the world. Let's see, they are in second in their own league and got bounced from the CL in the semis. Hmmm.

Not saying they aren't (because they are), but that formula seems broken in my eyes.
