So is the deal they're just terrified to death of a 20,000 person drunk crowd outside the dome?

i know that the NFL and maybe the NCAA frown upon large viewing parties.
I know a few LSU games were shown earlier in the year, but it doesn't mean that it wasnt frowned upon.

yes -- but they were out of town games.... not in the Stadium next door.
Too many people in too small a space with too long to drink is not a good thing for the organizers.
Safe call on their part not to televise the games there... plenty of other places to watch.

This is purely a crowd control issue, I would suspect.
Makes sense really. Not so much that they're "scared" of what the fans might do, just that having them in the way clogging up one of the main Dome entrances would be a huge pain in the arse.

This. Imagine if, god forbid, the dome had to be evacuated with all those people there.

Downtown bar owners have been crying bloody murder about the business this was stealing. Wouldn't be surprised if dome money changed hands and nopd would not put the extra cops in CS
