Power Pole vs Minn Kota Talon

I am looking to put a power pole on a 22ft Pathfinder but my brother-in-law brought up the Talon. Is one better than the other or are they about the same. The are pretty comparable in price. Just looking for some recommendations and if you have any experience with either. TIA

Never seen a Talon at work but i would imagine it's a solid product coming from Minn Kota, and they are a good bit cheaper on the price than a powerpole would be.

I would imagine the Talon is a solid product also, I have just never talked to anyone with one.

Talon is newer, so hasn't been out as long, so no solid reviews, but it is cheaper. Power Pole is proven winner. I own a power pole. I do have a buddy who installed a Talon recently and says he likes it so far.

What are the prices looking like for your 22' Ive been thinking about putting one on for a while.

A buddy just bought the 8' Talon for 1500.00 installed with 2 remotes. That's about 800.00 cheaper than the Power Pole. I have the Power Pole and had to replace the remote module 3x's in 5 years. They replaced at no charge. Great customer service at PP. Talon is all electric. PP is electric/hydraulic.

remotes suck and always go out. Get the extra foot switch by your trolling motor!
