Could LSU get away w/ it w/ lock down corners in PP7 and Mo Claiborne?

The main way to shut down AU's offense is to limit Newton's rushing yards. To do that, we have to keep him in the pocket and contain with both the d-line and the LBers. Not blitzing is okay in this situation. Newton is a good passer too but his main threat is as a runner.

If we are gonna blitz, we can't let him run free.

Blitz will come from the edge, not up the middle. An edge blitz will cut Cams rushing field in half. Linebackers will have a field day tomorrow!! BOOK IT !

I completely agree with blitzing from the edge, but if it's Mathieu he needs to just jump on Cam's back and hold on till help arrives.

Not blitzing a LB or DB does not mean we won't be applying pressure.

It's our DL's specialty.

I think Newton has trouble when he is pressed. Hope we keep the pressure on. Make him feel the heat!

Blitzing is ok and something we need to do but in moderation. This offense calls for more of a mix of looks than most. We can't forget that they can do little screen passes too.
