I am a HUGE LSU fan, and have been all my life. But as a recruit it cant be very appealing to go to a college where we go on a "who has the hot hand" basis. MOST big time RB's coming out of college want to be the MAN on the feild, its hard to do that with rbs by comittee. On top on that look at what has happened to Alley and what appears to be Keiland. Both were supposed to be studs there SR, ALLEY got screwed and decided to follow his rapping career and KW is yet to be seen. Your thoughts? sorry so long.

EX. Joseph Addie

he was also in that RB by committee and his stock didn't drop a bit, flashy yet fewer carrier could mean long career in NFL,

KW and CS should both make it in the NFL IMO

What ... neither one has lived up to their potential?

Until KW gets some vision, he's never going to be an every-down back at LSU. Sure he's great if you get him in space (and we do and will), but he's not going to ever get the bulk of the playing time he wants until he broadens his game a bit and learns how to read his blocks and find the hole.

KW will learn as time passes, though, I'm sure of it. He's got lots of potential. But to insinuate (sp?) that the coaches are to blame for not giving KW and formerly AB more playing time is ludicrous and you should start watching the games a tad closer. KW and AB have nothing to blame but themselves (and JH and CS obviously).

All I've seen under Miles and Co. is that they put the back out there that gives us the best chance at victory. That's all I ask of our coaches, and they seem to always do that. Unfortunately for you star gazers, you didn't realize until it was all said and done last year that JH was that guy for us.

Joseph Addai?

Alley didn't get screwed, he got injured, fat, lazy, and couldn't even impress scouts as a starter at 1AA. KW is noticeably not running as well or as smart as Scott or Murphy. A big name BR wants to come to LSU to be the next Addai or Hester, not because they think up ridiculous thoughts like you have.

I think RM and SR have a better chance of making it in the NFL than KW.

nah, alley got hurt before the 05 season, and was overweight and still hurt during the 06 season.

If you wanna be a all about me kind of running back and want to win a heisman and all that jazz then no dont come here, if you wanna be part of a team and a successful program and contribute all you can to that, then yeah Lsu is the program for any kind of recruit.

I know Joe addai. Im not stupid. I agree with fewer carries longer career, but what about more carries higher drafted, more money, and possibly a HEISMAN?????

same reason they would go to USC

they have like 14 running backs that could be starters across the country

does it matter? YES, publicity is a huge factor in the draft...obviously there are certain schools that get more than others. LSU being one of them.

You're missing the big picture.

Think Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown.

The NFL doesn't want the used up college backs. Their longevity in the league is somewhere near the life expectancy of a gunner on a Cobra gunship in actual battle.

In an offense that can showcase their positives, and camouflage their weaknesses, their overall worth is improved.

We're not talking about the backs that need to make a name for themselves. We're talking about the backs that have NFL written all over them determining which round or part of the first round they will be taken.

How did Hester, Addai, Dominick Davis, Labrandon Toefield, Skylar Green fare coming to LSU? And we're not talking "big name" backs.

same thing happened to Justin Vincent, my brother is in his 6th or 7th yr of college at LSU and said that he would always see Vincent out at the bars, he also gained weight.

totally wrong.

scouts will drool over keiland's combination of size and speed.

and keiland has shown that he can run between the tackles. its amazing how many people forget how great he did as a freshman.

I believe ADDAI and HESTER are the only two RB's on a game time roster for any NFL teams FYI

Prove you are big time and come compete with the best. It's not about the name on back of the jersey. It's the name on the front.

okay?

kevin faulk has been a big part of 3 super bowl teams and the only team to win 19 games.

and domanick davis was doing very good before he had to retire because of injury.

who cares why these RBs come here. they are great, thats all that matters.
