I call bullshite on all of you saying our RS freshmen are too young to be worth a crap. Look at Robert Nkmdichke,or however you spell it. He was an immediate impact player the day he arrived on campus. We just haven't been able to recruit guys like him!

Do we run stunts? I don't recall seeing that. I thought our DL scheme was to let our 4 athletes on the DL out athlete the opponents OL. I haven't seen many other strategies being used lately.

He was also the number one recruit in the country. They are typically expected to produce immediately, such as what we have expected from Leonard fournette.

Not every recruit is the number one recruit in the country.

i still don't get it.
let's not pretend that the DT's that are playing are using proper techniques, etc. we are getting gashed for a reason up front, proper technique or not.
i say just rotate em in, see how they perform.
I agree.

You saw Lacouture and the rest of the line get completely gassed by the end of Q3 in the MSU game
Why are so many people saying this???
MSU scored on 3 of their first 4 possessions of the game to get 17 points by the early 2nd quarter.
They then scored 2 TDs on their first 3 drives of the second half on the 2 huge plays by Prescott very early in the 3rd quarter.
Hell, the last 25 minutes of the MSU game were the best of the night for the D only giving up 3 points, although I attribute that mostly to MSU blowing their load and kind of thinking the game was over because they arent used to blowing teams out more than anything we did really. But the last 10 minutes of the first half we also only gave up a FG.
I agreed with you previously in this thread that we need to be rotating every single body we have, but it's because those playing just aren't good enough to deserve all the snaps, not because they're worn out and need a breather.

So maybe their 4th year we can start expecting some production? Why are we recruiting 5 stars if they aren't gonna be used till year 3
I agree. It doesn't make sense.

The 2nd quarter was the defense's best quarter, imo. 3rd quarter the defense wasn't gassed. It was just exposed and dominated.

I saw this in the Advocate this morning. A lot of posters on here think physical ability is the one and only necessary attribute (DT and MLB discussions), but this shows it's something else.
Neal immediately surpassed a trio of redshirt freshmen defensive tackles upon moving to his new position. Greg Gilmore, Frank Herron and Maquedius Bain have seen little significant playing time.
Defensive tackles coach Brick Haley must trust a player mentally to play him, Neal said. It’s all about technique, knowledge of the offense and attention to detail.
He might not have size, but he has those things.
“It’s all mental because we all have the physical capabilities,” Neal said.
